Edgewood Preserve
Yes, it has been a while since I posted a hike. But fortunately, I am on Break! so be prepared for more amazing views of different trails.
I love to hike solo. I do enjoy hiking with other hikers too. But perhaps I enjoy it the most when I hike alone because there is a connection with nature and spirituality that I find peaceful and I can truly enjoy without distractions.
The trails were busy with families and solo hikers. There was a family creating a circle of life at the top of the hill and were chanting while some of the kids were taking pictures.
I encountered beautiful birds, deer and flowers of different colours. The wet and muddy ground shined when the sun made its way through the tree branches. The smell was incredible, fresh grass, eucalypti trees, and there were a few areas covered with wild mint. It cleared my senses, I felt alive!
There are several trails of different lengths. I hiked a total of 7 miles R/T with an altitude gain of approximately 900 feet. It was fun! enjoy the pictures!

Huddart County Park
I went solo to hike this park. I was somewhat nervous as I do not know the area very well, but I read that this park is visited by many hikers throughout the day and it will be safe to hike alone.
The ranger was very nice and gave me and idea of the best trails and a map. I hiked a total of 5.5 miles in one hour and half.
It was amazing! other hikers were friendly, and the views of the redwoods are incredible! There were some areas that were quiet and I could meditate and hear my thoughts loud. It is certainly a very peaceful place.
Pictures you are going to see are of the Crystal Spring trail, to the Skyline trail and to the Dean Trail.
Have fun!

Purisima Creek Redwoods Hike
Let me tell you, do you want some adventure and to spend a good day in the woods? A really good workout? No other place like this! Total miles the hike is: about 12 RT going up and down the trail; it was definitively a challenging hike. We did it in about 4 hours then we had a great meal in Woodside. It was worth it! I am adding some pictures so have fun! ... and yes, I will do it again, the views are amazing!

My first training hike - Wunderlich Hike
This was an easy hike. We hiked for about 11 miles in 2:45 hours. The altitude gain was about 1250'.
It was very nice, mostly shaded, great views, and not very steep. I would recommend it to any one.
I am feeling a bit sore now, but it was fun.

New Beginning
Life is full of surprises. They come uninvited, they pass us by, leave a mark in our heart and change our life forever.
So this is a new beginning. This is the journal of my life in the wild. Yes, hiking my way toward Mt. Everest!
Feel free to post any messages, and funny comments about hiking. I like that. I will be posting pictures as I hike.
Have fun!
